To be an artist in the 21st century is about so much more than just making good music. It is about mastering the craft of creating something unique than nobody else than you can give to this world. After being on my journey of writing and producing music, touring the world and creating the world of Possimiste, I am excited to guide you on jour journey of achieving your goals as a musician, producer and performer.

LEENI LAASFELD is a composer, artist and creative director of Possimiste. 

​

Leeni has been part of the entertainment industry for more than 25 years, startin her journey at one of  Estonia's most acclaimed music studios Musamari. By the age of 16 she had performed more than 200 concerts in Europe with her vocal group, won numerous awards for solo and ensemble performances and participated in 21 albums as a featured vocalist. 

   At 16 years, the Estonian-born artist founded her solo act Possimiste and relocated to Iceland to pursue her musical journey. With the latter she has won numerous international awards and nominations, given concerts in Asia, USA and Europe and world´s most influential showcase festivals. Her highly acclaimed debut album Youniverse came out in June 2021.

 

Alongside Possimiste, Leeni's music has been scoring more than 50 advertisements including The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Design Within Reach, Spell Designs and films " Lead Belly",  "Sea Side", "Lost At Sea" and "The Fall". With Daniel Silver and Racquel Borromeo she is also one of the creators of Soundscapes youth music program that connects philosophy, music and visual arts launched in 2018.

In this 12-week masterclass series we will be working on a music project of your choice, whether is is a recorded single or a performance. 

After getting to know you, we will focus on the

  • songwriting

  • basics of recording

  • interpretation

  • performance technique

  • virtual identity

  • the basics of music business

​

Each programme will end with a professional release and presentation of your project.
